Day 13: Rovinj
Most of the group decided to sleep in and relax at the hotel for the day, which really wasn't a bad idea!...but that isn't quite our style, we prefer to rest when we get home. We woke up bright and early to catch the first boat to Rovinj [this is like a 2min boat ride]. The goal was to climb the bell tower, which ended up being somewhat terrifying for Nicole, and to explore the town that is sometime referred to as "Little Venice." Having been to Venice on our last Rick Steves' tour, we were going to be the judge of that name! :)
We made our way to the highest point in town, the church, and paid the small fee to climb to the top. We aren't usually too picky on adventures, but this one did have some fairly rickety stairs that didn't give you the most confidence as you ascended...but nevertheless, we made it to the top! The view was fantastic, check out the pictures!

After we were finished climbing the tower, we managed to make it back down the tower, alive, then we explored. Nicole took advantage of the local artistry and Mike was shown where the "man chair" was, apparently he wasn't the only guy that has waited there while his lady shops. :). Take time to walk around and get lost, sorta in a "little Venice" type of way. We grabbed lunch at a small restaurant that offered tasty seafood, it was great! The evening was spent with dinner at the resort and ended with family BINGO game night!
